Synopsis

Another Qiong Yao's adapted novel. Brigitte Lin's outstanding performance especially in the finale where she confessed to Chin Han who was in a coma. Chin Han as a devoted lover is equally impressive. Bonus score for Fong Fei Fei's four memorable songs.

I actually approached this movie with low expectation. But the story proved better than I'd anticipated.It provided an insightful look at an important realm of human experience and that was LOVE between parents, siblings and friends.
It's a joy to watch such a strong and clever cast. Chin Han, as usual was at his best with his subtle approach, as far as romance was concerned. However, his hairdo appeared slightly odd, it just didn't suit him.
Lin Chin Hsia may have a lethargic look at times, but to be fair, she's a very lively talented actress. Her distinct, engaging personalities seen here is highly considered praiseworthy.For instance,it will be hard to imagine anyone not being enthused by that spectacular second last scene where she poured her heart out to her comatose lover, Chin Han.
Another performance worth mentioning is the brother of Chin Han.He's very good and I think he deserves an award for his supporting role.:)
