"Ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough..." This song best describes this touching love story. Patience and understanding can overcome many obstacles. Alan Tan was a despot in the beginning of this film due to his disability but the patience and understanding of the young lady Elsa won his heart and bend his pride.
Wow, "One Year's Fantasy" is unexpectedly good all-round----simple and inspiring story (with just the right amount of tension and intrigue) accompanied by virtuoso, nuanced performance of the leads.
Chen Chen is good, but Alan Tang steals the show as a young handsome guy who lost his eyesight from a sport accident. He no doubt earns great admiration and glory for the scenes in which he portrayed as an angry, frightened soul with no sight!
Recommended but be warned, there is no Chinese or English subtitles.
