Injustice, injustice, injustice!!! Isn't it terrbile to live in such a corrupt society where power and money played a great role? If I were Siao Pai Chai, I would blur out every truth come what may.

Wow! I love "The Adulteress" immensely. However, it's ashamed the combined efforts of 2 renowned Directors, Li Han Hiang and Ho Mon Wah couldn't cook up a fresh and more relishing screenplay than what's provided.

The screenplay seems to revolve around plots and sub-plots of other movies like "The Crimson Palm", "The Amorous Lotus Pan" to name a few. Nonetheless, all these pale into insignificance in comparison to the lovely, forever sweet-melting singing voice of Ling Po..........

Amazingly, certain images of LiLiWah in this film bore a striking resemblance to Ling Po despite Ling Po only dubbed her singing. In addition, it's definitely the Huangmei music though the actors/actresses clad in costumes of 'Ching Dynasty'. A movie worth grabbing!
