This is quite an unimpressive swordplay film. Chiao Chuang just doesn't do it for me. Li Ching with her small eyes and Lily Ho with her baby fat intact are mere guest stars. Lily's famous nude scene is no big deal but Lily Li shocks with her daring strip scene.
You are right, Terence, "The Knight Of Knights" is not as challenging and pulse-raising as other swordplay epics.
In fact, it took me three attempts to finish watching this far more mundane movie.Why? Perhaps their performances are not palpable in top-notch qualities and quantities.
Having said that, I was quite deeply influenced by the screenplay.
