Synopsis – ( Part 9 - Finale )

The gnawing grief kept Li awake for many nights in the hospital after the incident. He was heart-broken for he feared to lose the only woman he had ever loved. Despite his family’s attempts to cheer him up, he remained in the depths of misery. Likewise, Shi and Alan both plunged into deep depression after seeing LI’s condition.

Shi approached Li and assured him that she would still be his bride. The latter eventually exhaled in relief but was disturbed when Alan announced his departure for States. Alan had got a new job in States and would be leaving on plane on Li’s wedding day.

Shi’s heart pounding as the day of her wedding drew near. However, on the wedding day, Li was missing, instead came Alan with a letter. Li had written the letter to Alan prior his departure to States. He believed that both Alan and Shi were truly in love and hence, wished them a blissful marital life. As in the fairy tales, the couple finally got together and lived happily ever after ..

Synopsis – ( Part 8 )

Li proposed to Shi again and she accepted his ring. However, she felt emptiness and soon realized that there was no spark between them but her love for Alan still lingered. Then she received a videotape that contained an interview that Alan gave in Singapore. She groaned in misery upon watching that videotape as she had all along mistaken Alan to have an affair with Yun .

Shi finally met up with Alan. She blushed guiltily as she apologized for not trusting Alan. While the couple was sobbing their heart out, Li, who had stalked Shi, lost his temper and lashed out verbally. He left them in a rage and later ended in a fight with some drunken hooligans and admitted to hospital…

Few months later …

Alan retuned with Yun to Hong Kong upon completion of their project in Singapore. He soon discovered that Li was dating Shi and felt blue. At that very moment, Yun confessed her love for Alan but the latter did not wish to have any dealings with her .

Meanwhile Li was uneasy when he heard of Alan’s return. However, he felt a wave of relief engulfed him when Shi re-assured him that her relationship with Alan was over.

The two guys eventually met up. Alan was flushed with anger as he had suspected that Li was the culprit of his break-up with Shi. He vowed that he would not give in easily for he was deeply in love with Shi.….

Shi was speechless with Li’s sudden confession. She gradually accepted him for his simplicity and honesty had reminded her of her old crush Alan. When she was invited to his cocktail party, she was again startled by Li’s marriage proposal …

When Fan suffered a heart attack, it was Li whom accompanied him to the hospital.

At the hospital corridor, Li paced up and down anxiously and restlessly. He recalled his first encounter with Fan at the mall’s car park where he had accidentally scratched Fan’s luxury car and was afraid to lose his job. Then he recalled how he had rejected Fan’s arrangement to be reassigned to a better position in the mall. Next, he recalled how the truth came as bombshell to him when Fan revealed that he was his father.

Li gnawed his fingernails in nervous dread until the doctor announced that Fan was saved. Meanwhile Mrs Fan saw these and suspected Li was Fan’s real son ...

She offered him a new job, to run the operation of a new mall in Singapore. Alan was hesitant to leave Hong Kong as he felt his gap with Shi had widened.

Likewise, Shi felt the gap too. She felt out of place each time she attended the business parties with Alan. She was also jealous of Yun whenever she was close to him. Finally she initiated a break-up. Crestfallen Alan flew to Singapore with Yun to start-up the new mall but entrusted Li to take good care of Shi on his behalf.

While the true identity of the ‘secret son’ remained a mystery, Fan suffered a sudden heart attack …

Meanwhile Shi sensed a change in Alan ever since his promotion and started to fear about their relationship.

Then there were rumors that the president of the corporation of the mall Fan had a long-lost son working in the mall. Once Alan had a meeting with Fan and thereafter, everyone started to gossip that he was the secret son. The rumors soon spread wide and far and reached the ears of Fan’s wife. In a rage, she fired Alan on the following day …
