Don't be fooled by a pretty face! Li Ching showed good swordsmanship here. She would even be better in form if she had shed a few pounds before making these movies.
Li Ching did shed some pounds for Killers 5 which is her best wu xia movie in my opinion. I also like her portrayal of Black Pearl in Clans Of Intrigue opposite Ti Lung. It's those movies that she acted as damsels in distress that I am not so fond of since I know she is capable of roughing it out. However her damsel-in-distress role in The Invincible Fist is outstanding as she portrayed a blind lass in love with a swordsman who is her father's deadliest enemy. Li Ching breaks your heart in the final scene. Not to be missed!
